A student in Oklahoma went to class when they knew they had COVID19. The child was asymptomatic and they thought it would be safe. The student attended Westmoore High School just south of Oklahoma City. The student told an NBC affiliate KFOR that they thought they did not need to quarantine for the 14 days.
The Moore Public School District sent letters to parents indicating that “they had completed tracing within the school to identify students and staff who may have been potentially exposed to the virus”
The school also announced that anther student tested positive and an additional 22 students were now quarantining for being in close contact.
“We will do absolutely everything within our power to safeguard and protect our students and our staff,” Dawn Jones, school spokesperson, told KFOR.
