Steve Bannon and three other charged for the fraud in the fundraising scheme called“We Build the Wall.”

The online fundraising campaign garnered $25 million, that were said to expedite US-Mexico border wall construction. However, according to the defraud charges leveled against the Bannon, a wounded Air Force veteran named Brian Kolfage, and a Florida venture capitalist, the accused conspired to use the money for the personal expenses.

Steve was arrested at 7:15 am from a worth $35 million yacht, which according to the enforcement officials, belongs to his Chinese business associated named Guo Wengui.

Who is Mr. Bannon?

Steve Bannon, who is accused of stealing $1 million from the fund money to pay for his personal expenses, was the Trump’s election 2016 campaign architect and had been a close associate of the President in the White House before he stepped down in 2017.

Trump’s Response:

Following the Bannon’s arrest, President Trump, however, preferred to distance himself from Mr. Bannon and the fundraising campaign. Trump said, “I feel very badly. I haven’t been dealing with him for a very long period of time.”

“I don’t like that project,” added Mr. Trump. “I thought it was being done for showboating reasons,” and called paying for the border wall privately “inappropriate.”

Before Bannon, six other Trump associates had been charged with federal crimes. The list includes Paul Manafort, Mr. Trump’s former campaign manager; Michael T. Flynn, the former national security adviser; and Michael D. Cohen, Mr. Trump’s onetime lawyer, and fixer.

All were either directly apart of the scam, or knew about the scam and praised it. They raised at least $25 million from 500,000 donors and none of the wall was built.
