Governor Sununu announced on Friday that restaurants in all 10 NH counties can go to 100% capacity. Previously only restaurants in northern countries had this option. The tables still must remain 6 feet apart and all other Covid-19 safety guidelines must be followed.
The CDC says that on-site dining a high risk activity. The Center for American Progress found that states that reopened bars and indoor dining had higher transmission rates of Covid-19.
The numbers of infections in NH are remaining lower than some states. However, when compared to Maine or Vermont, NH is faring much worse with almost 3 times the infections per million.
With the new guidance, some restaurants will not be able to increase their capacity from the previous 50% since the 6 foot distancing is still required.
